初学者的活动

Using Canva, students will design a basic name plaque (wood). The finalized design will be a basic shape about 5 inches wide and have the student’s name engraved inside of the shape.

• 中等的学生 can dive deeper with this activity by doing the last two steps, giving them some insight into professional graphic design concepts and software.

• You would need to bring or provide 1 item/student for this activity.
• Plain canvas bags works well as well as t-shirts that are light colored (white, tan, ash grey, etc).

Using Tinkercad, students will design a basic name keychain. The final product will be printed on our 3D printers in a single color.

• 3D printed designs do take a few hours to complete, so the keychains will need to be picked up at a later time.

• We have 8 sets of software/hardware needed for this activity, so only a max of 16 students can do this at one time.

Participants can complete small, hands on science and engineering projects. There are many different activities to choose from. 有些项目比其他项目耗时更长. Participants can use Gravity Sketch to collaboratively create 3D art in a virtual reality space. This 3D piece of artwork can then be printed on our 3D printers.
