When Old Dominion University launched its entrepreneurial initiative this year, sparked by an $11 million donation by alumnus Mark Strome and his wife Tammy, the idea was for a culture to develop campus-wide to nurture business entrepreneurs. In order for that entrepreneurial ecosystem to flourish, it needed leaders across campus. Thanks to a donation by alumnus Lee Entsminger, six faculty members - representing four different ODU colleges - are ready to lead the charge for entrepreneurship.

As ODU gears up for the coming fall semester, much activity can be observed around campus, including the installation of more than 1,060 state-of-the-art safety cameras at various locations including residence halls, parking lots and other public spaces. The cameras are part of a broad strategy designed to provide multiple layers of protection for the well-being of students, faculty and staff as well as other valued members of our campus community.
